How to check system performance

To check the system performance under linux you can use the “top” command.

Note: It is useful for monitoring the system performance.


To sort according to CPU usage press : shift + p

To sort according to Memory usage press: shift + m

To exit from top command type q key. Read man page of free, vmstat, top command for more information.
